The back should always be the shortest part of any shorter haircut this gives a beautiful silhouette. The longer bangs provide a little “security blanket”, and the sides could be left longer as well. This is a great transitional cut for straighter-haired clients who want to cut their hair short but aren’t ready for a full-blown Mia Farrow pixie. I love this cut because it is so versatile – it can be messy and textured for a casual look or slicked down for a more refined, elegant look. This client’s hair is very straight and thick, so it was cut with a razor for serious texture and fullness. This is a classic shape with a little more weight and length on top and a closer, tapered length on the sides. Master Stylist Jackie and Her Scissors, Inc.
